The Laboratory for Translational Neurorecovery is honored to welcome Alkis Hadjiosif to our team! Alkis is a T32 research fellow, who prior to joining the lab, obtained a PhD in Bioengineering from Harvard University, has been a research fellow at Johns Hopkins University, and a research associate at Harvard University. His research uses a combination of motion analysis, computational modeling, and non-invasive brain stimulation to dissect the mechanisms behind the different kinds of motor symptoms people can experience after stroke. The goal is to improve how we assess and treat hemiparesis in ways tailored to each patient’s needs. Currently, Alkis is setting up a new study that aims to understand the mechanisms behind the abnormal arm postures stroke patients may have. We are very excited to witness the continued strides he will make towards further innovation in the field of neurorecovery!
